LPS1418 of D&A Transport in the workshop at Borehamwood
The author is tending to the top end of the engine-probably adjusting the valve clearances. A laborious task on the OM 346 engine because of the 4 valve heads

LPS 1932 of John Fishwick
This was the first 'V' engined Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle in the UK in 1974.
It was personally imported by an owner-driver John Fishwick of Westerham, Kent for use on the Middle East run.
I remember having to fit a third line in order for the vehicle to meet C&U regs, the vehicle originally being piped for two line and German single line braking.
The press were very interested in the vehicle and several articles appeared proclaiming the coming of the Juggernauts!
